Where will you be in September 2024? The UrbanBetter and Lagos Cityzens Hub team has a series of upcoming events that we’ll be participating as speakers or moderators. Our goal is to highlight the importance of health for climate action.
UrbanBetter mobilises youth-led advocacy and cutting-edge technology to fight air pollution and climate risks in cities. Since 2023, its hubs have engaged hundreds of participants in nearly 70 kms of community-led runs, capturing over 150,000 air quality data points and raising global awareness at forums like COP27. By combining grassroots action with innovative solutions, UrbanBetter is creating scalable, transformative change for healthier urban environments.
The United Nations Summit of the Future will take place from the 22nd to the 23rd of September, focusing on multilateral cooperation and a “Pact for the Future” to address pressing global challenges. Concurrently, Climate Week NYC 2024 will run from 22 to 29 September, gathering world leaders, business executives, and activists to accelerate climate action through more than 600 events across the city
